I have been trying to view records thru Family Search without much success I might add.
Have been able to view at most maybe 20 - 30 pages before I get an error note with a code and says Please try again later.
I have deleted my cookies, history etc but still not working properly.
Anyone else having any issues with it
Wendy

Hi, Wendy.
This happens to me sometimes, though not lately. I find I can use my browser's back button and try again, but often I just have to go do something else on another site for awhile and then come back. Are you registered with them? Some collections behave better when I'm signed in... at least it seems that way to me. I haven't studied it scientifically, though.
Does the error always happen at the same point/page? If so, you should contact them.
Not much help, but lots of empathy,
Barb

Wendy,
Did you have the problem with just one particular parish, or one particular section (Cumberland, Durham, etc)?
I've experimented going through images 1 - 40 of Barnard Castle (Durham)1815 -1832 with no problems.

Haven't joined yet but tried to view pages again. Did better when j ust viewing and using the arrow keys. What I noticed when I entered a page number at the top a couple of times I got an error message.
WAs looking for specific dates and didn't want to go thru all the pages to locate them.
Not sure why that would make a difference

Hi, Wendy.
Without getting all "computer geeky" on you, I wonder if it might have something to do with connection speed and timing out. Does it attempt to serve up a page and then give the error after a time, or does it just pop up as soon as you try to go to a new page?
My neighborhood is supposed to be on fast DSL, but I notice certain times of day (when school lets out) the speed slows to a crawl. My grandson next door with his PS3 is one of the main culprits, I think.
If I think of something brilliant, I'll let you know... but don't hold your breath!

Thanks for the advice. Tried the back button, refesh page, and the forward buttons. Nothing seems to make a difference. Although yesterday I could view almost 50 pages before it stopped.
No I am not registered. Perhaps that is their way of telling me to register.
Doesn't happen at the same point /page Happens no matter what town I am searching or county for that matter.
Frustrating to say the least.
Contacted them once and they told to clear history, and cookies which didn't help at all.
Will try and register to see if that helps.
Again thanks
Wendy
