Have you found them in the Census from 1841 in East London?

    Hello lisagrace,

You may find that this could prove to be rather helpful.

hi the furthest i can go back

Johannes christian wilhelm hohne born 1831 to Augusta henriette friederike Dionessen on 10th aug 1862 at st george's german lutheran church whitechapel
on the marriage cert it shows Johannes father is Johannes Hohne shoemaker
A few years ago i looked at some micro fiche records of that church and Johannes and augusta had a son john baptised there in 1862.
There were also undated entries which showed the couple as witnesses to other marriages.

one entry read johannes c w 31 sugar baker of sachsenhausen at 35 providence st which is the same address that is on their marriage cert they are on all the census records no problem there
