I am looking for any information on Isaac Norrington Colour Sergeant 97th Foot (Earl of Ulster's) Regiment. I think he was engaged in the capture of Delhi in the Indian Mutiney. There is an article concerning him in the East Surrey Family History Society Journal issue no. 2 on the 2nd August 1989. I would be also interested on any Information on his Daughter Louisa.

For details of research that has taken place on Brit-Gen for Louisa, please see this thread.
Having had a google, there appears to be some information about Isaac on this website: https://www.

To view it, you need to register, but it is free to do so.

FMP has a GRO Regimental Birth Indices record for a Louisa E NORRINGTON at Preston in the year 1855, the Regiment shown as 97th Foot. Could be worth purchasing the certificate if you do not already have it. There is also a Birth record for a Susan E NORRINGTON in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1853 and a Walter F NORRINGTON in St John, Canada in 1851, both records shown with the Regiment as 97th Foot - could they be connected. There is a Chelsea Pension record for Walter F NORRINGTON, also of the 97th Foot, on FMP.
