I have found a couple of the childrens baptisms, at the Colligate Church (Manchester Cathedral)
    child:James Hanvey
    name:James Hanvey
    baptism date:22 Oct 1837
    baptism place:Collegiate, Manchester, Lancashire, England
    father:James Hanvey
    mother:Phebe

might there be more to the record than whats listed there?

Could you explain to this novice - what is the allegation & bond, and where would one likely find them ??

The only additional information for James' baptism is abode, occupation (of father), and the vicar's name.

James Hanvey - Son of James Hanvey & Phebe
Baptised: 22 Oct 1837 at Collegiate, Manchester, Lancashire
    Abode: Manchr
    Occupation: Dyer
    Baptised by: Henry Fielding (Vicar)
    Register: Baptisms 1837, Page 801, Entry 6301
    Source: Lancashire OPC

Note: The Collegiate Church became Manchester Cathedral in 1847
