I went in search of Thomas Walker born circa 1826, his Wife Elizabeth born circa 1826 and their daughter Elizabeth born circa 1847, all born Runcorn. This was on the 1851 census returns, using 1901 census on line.
I did find a result H.O 107/2164 but when I downloaded it,it was wrong there is no mention of any Walkers. Would it be possible for some kind member to have a look on the 1851 census and advise me what the census reference is that I need. This is not the first time the 1901 census on line has given duff information.
Thomas Walker born circa 1826 Runcorn,Occupation Waterman.
Elizabeth Walker born circa 1826 Runcorn.
Elizabeth Walker born circa 1847 Runcorn.

Hello Geoff
I know I'm notorious for giving you the wrong census references (!
!) but there is this one that seems to fit>
HO107 Piece 2164 fol. 506 p. 35
The only difference from how you described Thomas is that he's a 'Labourer at Chemical Works'.malcolm99

Hello Malcolm
Thank you very much for your help it is very much appreciated. There's nothing worse when you have paid up front for an image and you get the wrong one.
