I am looking for 1871 census info on William Ruffell (b) 1819 and married to Sophia Chinery (b) 1826 children were William, Offed, Mary , Thomas, Milanda, Julia amongst others.

I have census info for 1851 1861 1881 1891 and 1911 but am missing 1871, i can not find any info what so ever ?

For most census they were living at Windsor Green, Cockfield, Suffolk.

    Help if you can please

    Thanks

No problem DavyTee - are you looking on Ancestry or on another subscription service?

    RG10 Piece 1720 fol. 60 p. 11
There's something odd about that reference. Folio 60 seems to consist of pp 9 and 10. Page 11 seems to be missing on Ancestry.

    What's the schedule number?

This is a Census Reference Number which is used to help identify a particular entry in the Census schedules.

    Have a look at this> https://www.british-genealogy.com/cen...eferences.html

I can't get a grip on what went wrong here.

    Folio 60 has pages 9 and 10

    Then there's page 12.

Then there's folio 61 consisting of pages 13 and 14.

Is there some underlying problem with the foliation? Can someone check on FMP or somewhere?

    Folio 59 stamped on p.7
    Folio 60 stamped on p.9
    Folio 61 stamped on p.13

The page and schedule numbers are sequential from p. 7 though to p. 13.

It must be an inserted sheet. At least DavyTee’s now got the information he wanted.
