There are two Farnworth in Lancashire. Farnworth village, chapelry, near Widnes in Prescot district, and Farnworth in Deane, Bolton. Both are described on Genuki. Here we are talking about the Widnes one, if we look at the census.

ps. but perhaps the sub-district for this Farnworth on LancsBMd should be Widnes, registers at Halton.

It is very confusing. As an example there is a birth of Eleanor Elizabeth Beesley in 1859, GRO district Prescot. On LancsBMD it is Widnes, registers at Halton. Her baptism on family search shows Farnworth (near Prescot) Lancashire. Her parents are William Beesley and Mary.
It would be strange that all four were not registered!!!! Perhaps you can ask for a search at the local office, or ask the GRO to find the birth of one of the children, giving them a date range and father's name. As Peter suggested.

Farnworth was a sub-district of Bolton from 1837 until 1935.
The family is on census at Farnworth and Widnes, so presumably the children were born in the same district which is Prescot Registration..according to the census info. RG 9; Piece: 2742; Folio: 42; Page: 13

    There is a marriage
John Beesley-Manchester-1847- one of the brides is a Harriet Jane Teale...

    Maybe:

    William Beesley-Prescot-March 1857
    Elizabeth Beesley-Prescot-Dec 1858

To confuse matters, there are two Elizabeth BEESLEYs age 2 in 1861 census. The other one must be the Dec 1858 birth, St. Helens on LancsBMD. ...Prescot, Eccleston, St Helens, parents William and Margaret.
So either all four children (John and Harriets?) were not registered or registered under another surname. If they were born in Farnworth nr Prescot, they should be registered in Widnes, Halton (lancashire bmd), for which the coverage seems to be complete.

Do you have Jane's marriage cert? I haven't found a marriage for Jane Beesley to William Williams. The marriage could be key if Jane didn't marry using the name Beesley.
