My husband's grandfather, we believe, was born in Brookland, or Greenville, New Jersey about 1882, but the family appear on the 1891 census in Bath, UK. I found the parents on the 1880 USA census originally from England. Is there anyway to find out when or how they returned to the UK? This is proving a hard one to follow because the grandfather has a different middle name on the 1891 census to the one on his marriage certificate in 1903. Something fishy somewhere.
