Interesting. I think Peter's right. (As usual.)
I've just had a 'stroll down Ouseley Road, and was expecting to see a load of re-development on the site of a large-ish hospital but I found a typical London street except for this, which is next to number 44.

That 'archway' looks a lot like buildings associated with workhouse-style buildings.

"46 Ouseley Road" (death OR died) is probably better. Works in DuckDuckGo as well as Google.

Thank you all so much for this information on Ouseley Rd. On his death certificate if reads Death in sub-district of St James Hospital. Signature, Description and residence of informant was his wife.
How wonderful to be able just go for a 'stroll down Ouseley Rd' or any London street. England is our most favourite place to visit. We love, love it.
Sorry to have interrutped Ewan initial question.

Thanks for the reply Peter, I didn't think it was possible to do an address search from familysearch, but yes the other indexes can be an extremely useful tool in finding out more information primarily.
Ladkyis, yeh I remember the travelling well. Not leaving home as early as you perhaps an hour later, armed with a good packed lunch to last all day and sometimes finishing it off on the coach coming home so that I didn't lose a minutes time of searching while there!
JeanCochrane, no worries, hope you got it all sorted out. There are some very experienced, clever and patient people here and they do help with anything they can, even with my mountain of elimination questions I have posed in the past.
