    Default Looking for parents of William Freeman Kynock

    Born Sept 9 1857. I have his marriage to Rose Anna Lane on Sept 18 1877. Now here's the curious thing. No parents names of either one of them. Entry merely says "dead". Was that normal? I would have thought that the parents names would be there, whether deceased or not.

    Another thing. William was living in Colchester, Rose in Beech Hill, yet they got married in Kentville. Wonder if they eloped. She was catholic, he was protestant. She kept her faith but later census's has their children as protestants. Rather unusual.

    Are you referring to Kentville, Nova Scotia? Where was William born?

    Yes to Kentville NS. They were married by licence in the baptist church there.
