    Question Patent for Samuel Shipley

    My Gt Grandfather Samuel Shipley born Epworth 1845-1933

    I know quite a bit about his wives and children and have all the census information. I have discovered that Samuel went bankrupt in 1888 and also served 2 years in prison for fraud. Before that he was doing quite nicely as a cornfactor. I have been told that he patented one or more new inventions possibly to do with farm implements.

    Can anyone help, as to how I can find out if this is true?

    Have you tried contacting the Intellectual Property Office - as the Patent Office is now known - to see if they are able to help?
