No you didn't, but I found a J....e Palmer & C...g L.......d Palmer at 152 Nepean Highway Balaclava. Perhaps children of? perhaps they had two addresses as in a business.
The above death may not be the right one as the name is not 'quite' right.
Keep on Jane, I haven't found them after 1977.

Wow, look what happens when you wake the Aussies up!! Thank you all for your help, brilliant team work!

So his life currently looks a bit like this:

Born 8 APR 1904 in Stamford, Lincs to Ernest Langford Palmer and Henrietta Clark
    Joined the Royal Navy.
Absconded in Australia prior to 1927.
Married Jessie Duncan in 1927 in ??. Jessie was born to Robt Comie Duncan and Annie Fischer in 1908 in St Kilda, VIC
Son Graham Langford Palmer bn about 1930 in Victoria - died 1971 in Victoria
A daughter was also born (may still be alive so no name)
Served in the Army from 1940 to 1945
Jessie died in Melbourne in 1978
Bernard died in Western Australia in 1980

That's about 300% more than I knew about him when I got up this morning!

    Thanks again
    Brenda
