Does anyone know what it's address was that would have been used on death certificates?
I have a 1935 Camberwell Death Certificate where the place of death is 48 Constance Road, Dulwich and wondered if this refered to the Constance Road Workhouse, or another institution? The occupation states “of 8 Neate Street, a Retired Dock Labourer”, so I am guessing this wasn’t his home address. The informant was his neice, who was living at 10 Southampton Street, and not the master or head of the workhouse, hence my confusion!

Yes, it was then known as the Constance Road Institution, later St Francis' Hospital. Unfortunately, The Hospital Records Database doesn't show much in the way of useful records for 1935.

Cheers Peter, I had thought that it was probably the case, but I couldn't find anywhere online where someone had linked the 48 Constance Road to the institution. I know it changed to St. Francis Hospital in 1937.
