Default Squadron Operations Records (AIR 27)

Just had a notification that the National Archives have made AIR 27 records available through Documents Online - see www.
nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/squadron-operations.asp. I gather they may vary a bit in content, but I've just downloaded one for 138 Squadron which contains about 3 years of flight logs, together with information on transfers in and out and promotions and awards. 138 Squadron was part of the Special Operations Executive tasked with dropping agents and supplies to resistance groups in occupied Europe during WW2, and the log includes the destination and payload of each mission, together with the pilot's name.

A word of warning, though the file I got might be exceptional: it was 365 pages, and over 66 MB in size. Still, for £3.50 I'm not complaining
