Parish registers lookup

Thomas Fisher, born 1746, Alrewas, married either an Elizabeth Dickinson 1772 St. Modwen's B o T OR an Elizabeth Kirkham 1772 Clifton Campville. Would not the parish record show to which parish both parties belonged? Elizabeth Kirkham was supposedly born (according to another tree researching the same family) in Sidbury(?), Shropshire. Thomas's father was James. I'd be delighted to have the correct Elizabeth otherwise Elizabeth Unknown will have to suffice. Many thanks again. LizzieB

Most of the Parish Registers I've seen give the parish where the individual currently lives/ worships, not the birth parish. Of course, it was a bit at the whim of the Minister/Clerk.

You will need to look at the original entry to see what the Minister has written, these can be ordered via Familysearch resource centre at I understand a small charge.....
