People talk about Bomber Command, but i've alway's thought that Bomber Command was an elite crew for the Lancaster Bombers. In other words not all crew who flew in the Lancasters were bomber command that people talk so much about. Hope this makes sense. Can anyone tell me if i'm right. I should know the answer to this myself as my Dad was a Rear Gunner in the Lancaster's and i've never thought he was Bomber Command. He died over 30 years ago and i never thought to ask him.
