i am trying to find the ancestors of John Beesley 1830watchmaker from liverpool married to Harriet although i havent found marriage for them yet, when i search there are a couple of families that come up - all watchmakers! just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction as to the correct family for these people, they had a daughter jane beesley (my g.g.Grandmother) who had a Harriett beoley (im guessing should be beesley) living with her in 1881 census - this is where i got 'harriett beesley ' from he could of course be married to someone else?? but no sign of john on that census, jane beesely was jane williams by then having married a william williams, hope this all makes sense

This could be the Harriet BEESLEY who was in the 1881 census in the 1871 census of Widnes:
RG10/3857, folio 84, page 22
Lunts Heath
John BEESLEY Head Mar 59 Watchmaker Widnes
Harriet do Wife Mar 48 Cheshire Northwich
William do Son Unm 14 Lancashire Widnes
Elizabeth do Daur 12 do do
The 1861 census of Farnworth shows this family with the addition of a son Thomas aged 10 and a daughter Jane aged 6 which would fit in very well with the Jane WILLIAMS on the 1881 census.
If you are sure that Jane WILLIAMS in the 1881 census is your gggrandmother, then I think you have your line mixed up somewhere as the John BEESLEY living with Harriet is shown as born c1812 in Farnworth, Widnes.
