    Default Jane Saxon born 1803'ish in Scout!!!

    Hi,
    Anybody searching this family, love a helping hand, first where abouts was/is Scout? lancs i know but thats it, and Jane Saxon born abt 1803 married John Byrom in 1826, then lived Saddleworth died 1889, but love to find her background, possible her family were silversmiths, not sure,
    brickwall this one,,,,,,hhhhelp

    I think Scout is near Rossendale, Lancashire

    A marraige took place at St Marys Stockport Cheshire for a couple of the same name as yours,7 Aug 1826.

    Both Bride and groom state birthplae as Stockport.
    Maybe Scout should be Stockport,just a thought!

    many thanks, yes it makes sense her husband john born Hurst, married lived Saddleworth till there deaths, read about a Byrom from Scouthead back in 1750's a doctor i think, wonder about this Jane & John (Byrom)had many children, one named ''Doctor Byrom'' wonder if family connected?

    As Jane lived most of her life in Saddleworth, I suspect Scout could be Scouthead which is less than a mile west of Saddleworth. It's on Google Maps and there's a brief article in Wikipedia.[
