    The Fishlock family also appear to be exclusively from the Marlborough area in Wiltshire, judging by baptism records on the IGI.

    Unfortunately IGI coverage is incomplete and uneven and gives misleading results if used for that purpose.

    Archer's Surname Atlas shows the greatest concentration of the FISHLOCK surname in the Chipping Sodbury GLS and Devizes WIL Poor Law Unions (ie registration districts). This data comes from the 1881 census and it would be possible to refine these results further by analyzing birth places and dates and filtering out married women (who were not born FISHLAKES!)

    My Fishlock family seem to have resided around the Devizes area.
