    Hello Mickey,

According to Wikipedia, Thomas was not MP for Salford. In 1885, the Parliamentary borough of Salford split into three single-member divisions: Salford North, Salford South and Salford West. Look at the website below and follow the links through. It will tell you who the MPs were for the various years.

The trouble is, just because a person lives in a particular place, it does not necessarily follow that they were MP there - it could be almost anywhere.... What time span would we be looking at here? Is he recorded as an MP in the census at all?

Edit: Aha! Have just found a list of MPs since 1900 on Wiki. No Thomas Faulkner, though:

    Hi mickey

If you know where and when he died, it might be worth checking local newspapers for an obituary, which might fill in some details of his political activities.

    Cool Thomas Faulkner MP Salford

May I suggest you get in touch with the Salford website.

    services.salford.gov.uk/forum/

I am registered with them for family research & I have found it a very helpful site for info within Salford area.

    Regards

You could also try 'The Salford Family History group' - just google this and The Salford Museum are helpful with family history.
