Over the past 12-18 months my family has been hit with medical problems. One ended in a death, one will ultimately end in death and one is under investigation. We have through consultations been able to handle each of these.
I am not one to air 'dirty laundy' - possibly the wrong expression - but neither my wife nor I can gather information on this matter. "Googling" hasn't helped, the family G.P. is an older gentleman who has never seen such a situation before and cannot advise and so I wonder, if I post the details either on the forum or through a private message, can we be assisted in moving forward?
Sketchy, I know, but I want to stay within bounds of this site.
Colin

I doubt that it would be helpful to you, Colin. There may be a few people on the forum who are medically qualified but in the main most of us are not.
There are many medical conditions which share similar symptoms with one another and to ask medical advice from a group of laypersons is likely to invite a whole range of differing and contradictory opinions which would probably add even more to your confusion.
If the GP you have is unable or unwilling to give you a proper diagnosis and prognosis then you would be better off asking to see someone who is a little more helpful and then I doubt that even a highly qualified doctor would want to offer his opinion without the benefit of a thorough medical examination and clinical tests.

As Colin has suggested, if anyone does feel qualified to offer such an opinion please contact him by private message. I am now closing this thread.
