Does anyone know where the Lincoln absent voters list for the first world war, is held? I have spoken to the central library, who have a great collection of electoral registers, but they told me they cannot find the register in their computer listing; I have also spoken to Lincoln Archives who have some list, but not for the city of Lincoln, just for the areas outside the city.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure about the rest of Lincs, but a quick search shows that the Grimsby and Cleethorpes List is on-line.

I don't think they are necessarily separate lists. Depending how you worded your original question to Lincs Archives, you might want to consider approaching them again.
Apologies if you've covered this angle.Peter Goodey
