    Question Tom Darby

I am wondering if anyone can tell me if TOM DARBY who was a police constable I beleive from leicestershire was one of my ancestors. I believe he married SARAH ?? This is in the 1800's about 1850's in leicestershire.

I'm afraid no-one can really tell you that unless they knew your family history as well as that of Tom Darby. You need to compile your family tree and do the same for Tom Darby to see if you eventually come up with a common ancestor.

    Hi Charby
Do you have Thomas, policeman and Sarah on any of the censuses? If so can you post the reference for it as I can't find Thomas a policeman in 1851 and 1861 in Leicestershire
What make you think he may be an ancestor? Have you worked back from you, to your parents, back to grandparents, back to great grandparents back to gggrandparents etc?
Any clues as to dates of birth, place of birth etc for Thomas policeman?
If you give all the info you have for this man his family can be traced forward but you are the only one who will know whether there is a link between one of his descendants and a direct ancestor of yours.
