Looking for birth of THOMAS DARBY

Hello I am trying to find out where one of my ancestors were born. His name was THOMAS DARBY.I have him married to ANN WILD the 15 september 1782 barrow upon soar,leicestershire england. He was a lime labourer. I have been trying to find out where he was born. I am thinking in barrow upon soar but not sure. I cannot go farther back than him as I don,t know where he was from.I knowthat if i got his marriage certificate it would tell me but I live in canada so it costs more money. I just hope someone can help as I have been looking for quite a few years now.

I can see an entry in the IGI but it's a submitted entry. Submitted entries are worthless unless you have it from a more reliable source. Perhaps you have.

I would check the parish register if I were you. There may be valuable information there. The Mormons have filmed the BTs.

Also I believe Barrow upon Soar in in Phillimore (Leicestershire, volume 7). If you don't have access it would be worth buying a copy as you have Leicestershire ancestors.
