Hi
My name is Sharon and I have been researching my family history on and off for a number of years, Ives is just one of the surnames I have been researching. I have hit the "brick wall" with my maternal tree (Ives family) I know they originate from Norfolk, or what was Norfolk in the 1800's, from the Wisbech District. The main person I am having trouble tracing is William Ives born c 1791. Would love to hear from anyone who could help in anyway or anyone who shares a similar interest in the name Ives

Hello Sharon and welcome to the B-G Forum.
Can you tell us where you got the date of c1791 for William Ives. If it was a census, could you give us the reference.
BTW have you used The Wisbech Index?

Hi Malcolm, it was 1841 census. They were living in Noahs Ark Alley, Parish St Saviour, St Saviour Union, Surrey. Yes I have looked at the Wisbech Index but not come up with anything

Hi Peter
I have found 2 marriages, one in Walpole St Andrew 7/3/1830 to an Elizabeth Dixie and the other in Terrington St Clements 11/4/1816 to Elizabeth Jacob. These are neighbouring parishes. Williams son Jonathan was baptised in Walpole St Andrew 22/6/1823 and his mother is listed as Elizabeth. They appear on 1841 census in London (district was part of Surrey back then) see reply to Malcolm.
