    Default Farm St Pancras 1856

London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906 Record for Ann Newbold show her address at the time as Farm St, then what looks like Uews. The birth was registered at St Pancras in 1856. Her father John's occupation - coachman. The 1851 census has John's residence as ,55 Harefield Place Harefield, Middlesex, occupation Postillion, Horseman.

Can anyone tell me what, or where Uews is, and does it have a connection with 55 Harefield Place?

    many thanks

I do not have access to the document to which you refer, but could it be MEWS? That would tie in with her father being a coachman as a mews commonly referred to a line of stables, which often had accommodation over the top of them.

The entry reads Farm St Mews, as Jan says. Farm Street Mews is now Farm Street, Mayfair. See Streetmap or similar.

Not quite. The 1851 address is Harefield Place (55 is the schedule number, not a house number).

Harefield Place (formerly Harefield Lodge), near Uxbridge, was a country house. In 1851 only the servants were in residence. There's some information here.

    Lots more if you Google.
