It would be a help to know where you've been looking.I have been searching a long time
Have you approached the Cemeteries department of Cheshire East Council? They are the first people to ask.

Might your father have assumed responsibility for a funeral? If so his address at the time may also be relevant, if it wasn't in the same area as her place of death.

Hello
Have you tried Crewe Cemetery, seems to be where a lot of the town's folk are interred etc.

This link will show the other Cemetry in the area, I think it is ulikely that she would be interred in Bunbury / or Walgherton this being a small village.

There are restrictions /qualifications on some churchyards aswho can be buried within them!Last edited by geneius; 09-01-2012 at 4:30 PM. Reason: forgot the link

I must be bored because I googled.
Marlowmag - Are you the person who posted on another site that "the burial register of St Mary`s Nantwich has 14th March 1927"?
If you've already found her listed in a burial register, what exactly are you asking for in this thread?

Just in case you're not the same person, I'll confirm that The FamilySearch transcription has -Marlowmag - Are you the person who posted on another site that "the burial register of St Mary`s Nantwich has 14th March 1927"?
name: Frances Ravenscroft
event: Burial
event date: 14 Mar 1927
event place: Nantwich, Cheshire, England
gender: Female
age: 65y
You'll want to be aware of the following two items in the Cheshire Archives catalogue under Nantwich Parish -
Register of burials
Apr 1923- Aug 1943
P 120/4525/34
Register of graves
1889- 1963
P 120/4525/37
Cheshire Archives has a research service and a photocopying service.

Hello marlowmag
Peter was only asking you to clear up the confusion between what you say in your original post above, and what you've said on another forum, as they seem to contradict one another.
Above in post #1 you say
and in post #6 you say
But on a GenForum message board it says:
i have a death certificate for Frances Ravenscroft who died 8th March 1927 age 65(spinster) she died in the Nantwich Union workhouse i have been trying to find out where she is buried i presume she is in a public grave her last address is given as Olive Cottage Wugherton (canot read the writing) Nantwhich she was a general servant the burial register of St Mary`s Nantwich has 14th March 1927 frances Ravenscroft of 200 The Barony age 65(page 39)
from
http://
genforum.genealogy.com/ravenscroft/messages/504.html
If you could clarify whether Frances is or isn't listed in the Nantwich St Mary burial register, then perhaps we will be able to be more helpful.
