I have the marriage cert for Thomas Bunting age 20 to Margaret Connor 18.
They married at St Mary's Catholic Chapel Manchester.19.5.1861
They had 2 children Mary Ann 1862 & William 1863.
Thomas died 1867 in Hulme.
I am trying to find the family prior to Thomas' marriage & it is stated on his marr.cert that his father was Abraham Bunting (joiner)however I cannot find him at all.
The address for both bride & groom is very hard to make out & looks like Newberry St,Water Street Manchester.Looking at old maps of Manchester it looks as though it maybe Mulberry St.
Any help appreciated

What was Thomas Bunting's occupation (from marriage certificate, death certificate and children's birth certificates)?

I've searched the censuses from 1841 to 1861 for both Thomas and Abraham but I can't find anything at all. It doesn't help that he died before the 1871 census so you have no way of knowing his birthplace.
I've looked for a birth, although I'm sure you've probably done that already, and there were quite a few Thomas Buntings registered in 1840/1841. I suppose you could take a chance and order from the GRO, without the reference, stipulating that father was Abraham. If they can't find anything you'd get a refund so there would have been nothing lost. The disadvantage though is that even if there was such a birth it would be difficult to prove he was yours without having any other points to match.
It's also possible that he was born in Ireland which would explain his absence from UK censuses.

I have the baptisms of four children to Thomas & Margaret, at St. Wilfred's, Hulme. A child Thomas was born posthumously 14 May 1868. Also an Alexander born 1865, died 1874. I can send the details if you like. Doesn't help you find Thomas though !
I cannot find him before his marriage either. You would think with them marrying in May 1861 they would have been in the 1861 census, or perhaps they had both just got off the boat from Ireland. She was born there.

I have already gone down the road of ordering from the GRO prior to coming to Spain. That turned out to be negative. However,I do have to say that I never even gave a thought to the fact that he may have come from Ireland. So it looks as though this brick wall is still there.Thank you so much for your help.
