Thank you notanotherminer, what you state makes perfect sense to me now. Ok. Thomas Holts father's occupation was given as a Weaver but he was a Publican at the time ,(he later became Woollen Manufacturer so perhaps he was weaving at the same time as being a publican, which many did).The Banns were originals and dated 29th Dec 1839
5th & 12th January 1840. I have been in touch with Oldham Local Studies and they are running a check for me, am waiting for reply, but don't expect they have any other information other than the Banns.
