Given that we agree it ends ...ber, we have four choices.

    September
    October
    November
    December

I don't think it's S at the start, I can't see m anywhere in it, and I think it's too short to be September.

I think the first letter might be O, with very feint sides, and a dot in the middle to show it's a capital.

I wouldn't put money on it though.

For anyone else, we're looking at the first word in the 6th line, which is the name of a month.

You have way more wills under your belt than me - October it is. I am very very grateful for your filling in the gaps. I soooo want Elizabeth to be mine. On another day I will post what I have so far with her and see whether anyone else would go with the theory! Happy New Year Kerrywood and thanks for all of your help in the past year. xxx

Oh yeah! I have that and I have another bit of Bow baptist history where she is mentioned. She was a heck of a lady, carried on hubbie's business when he died (plumber and glazier) but sadly my ancestor had died (I think) by the time she made that Will so he isn't named in it. It is difficult not to wish someone into your tree but I feel cautious about the links here. As I said, I will write out the theory and place it before the judge and jury (forum members) for their consideration over the weekend.
