    Default

I drew a blank on FreeReg, lots of Girlings but North of the County, and just a member submitted effort on the IGI

Glemham Village is based at Glemham Hall

    www.
    glemhamhall.co.uk

There is a very good chance that anyone whop lived in the village worked for the hall.
Could be worth contacting them to see if thay have any records.

Thanks Raffael. I found a list for people who had done work on hall couldn't see a girling but saw ref to silverfish which is bad news. I was surprised when I went over to suffolk how many girlings there are over there. I can remember when we were the only ones in the telephone directory here

Default girling births burials great glemham

my ancestor eber was born 1796 great glemham, so far can't find record of his birth to find parents. now I am trying to find girling burials there around this time to see if I can make a connection, I saw on a great glemham article records were ruined by silverfish. I have had better luck with his wife sarah packard she was born little glemham 1797 and they married 1820 benhall, I actually found her fathers grave little glemham, It was a humbling experience.
