Just wondering if anyone knows anything about a minderal water bottling plant owned by George Naylor Tetlow and (his brother?) Joseph Tetlow? I believe the partnership dissolved in 1886, with George becoming sole owner of the factory based in Hyde, but wonder what became of Joseph, or who the parents of George and Joseph were, and what size of factory they owned. Anything about them would be interesting. Many thanks for any help in advance.

Joseph and George's parents were John Tetlow and Sarah Wiseman. You can find the information gathered about them so far in your Mark Holland thread, but I'll summarise it.
This was posted by Coromandel.
Cheshire BMDs has George Naylor Tetlow's birth registration in 1853 in the Hyde district;
mother's maiden name Wiseman.
Other Tetlows with same mother's maiden name:
Mary Maria 1851
Joseph 1855
Emma Jane 1858
Nancy 1861
James 1864
Annie 1866
Bertha 1869
So the parents are perhaps the John Tetlow and Sarah Wiseman who married at Stockport (in a civil ceremony) in 1850, according to Cheshire BMDs.
And here is the family in the 1851 census.
I found Joseph on the 1861 census on Ancestry, mistranscibed under Letlow. I found the same entry on FindMyPast, this time mistranscribed under Dellow (!)
RG09 piece 2558 folio 52 page 27
140 Back Lane Hyde
They were also found in 1861 in Stockport Road, Hyde, I believe.

I found John and Sarah and family on the 1871 census, on Ancestry, 29 Stockport Road, Hyde, as Letlow. For some reason I cannot find them on FindMyPast and I don't know how to bring up the reference numbers on Ancestry, so hopefully someone else will do that for me.
John Tetlow. 42. 1829. Hyde Cheshire
Sarah Tetlow. 42. 1829. Dukinfield Cheshire
Mary M. Tetlow. 20 1851. Hyde Cheshire
George T. Tetlow. 18. 1853. Hyde Cheshire
Joseph Tetlow. 16. 1855. Hyde Cheshire
Nancy Tetlow. 9. 1862. Hyde Cheshire
James Tetlow. 7. 1864. Hyde Cheshire
Harriet Tetlow. 5. 1866. Hyde Cheshire
The last comment in the first thread should have read '1871'. Getting a bit tired what with staying up all night

I found a likely death for John Tetlow.
1904, Q4, Stockport, Cheshire, age 76.
And for Sarah Tetlow, his wife.
1889, Q2, Stockport, Cheshire, age 60.

Looks like I found the name of John's mother. 1881 census (found on Familysearch).
RG11
Piece/Folio: 3469 / 43
Page Number: 28
Household Gender Age
John Tetlow M 52
Spouse Sarah Tetlow F 52
Child Nancy Tetlow F 19
Child James Tetlow M 17
Child Annie Tetlow F 14
Parent Maria Tetlow F 79
Maria is a widow, formerly a Cotton Weaver, born around 1802 Gee Cross, Cheshire.
Oddly enough, I also found on the same website a John Tetley born 12 January 1829 and baptised 16 November 1829, son of George Tetley and Maria Newton at Gee Cross Unitarian, NC, Hyde, Cheshire, England. A coincidence?

I found a George and Maria Tetlow in the 1841 census, at Stockport, Cheshire. There's, unfortunately, no sign of John, but there is a big gap, in the ages of the children, so they could still be his parents.
HO107 piece 111 folio 5/20 page 35
George Tetlow. 40. born 1801 Cheshire; a coal miner
Maria Tetlow. 35. born 1806, Cheshire
Harriet Tetlow. 15. born 1826, Cheshire; a cotton weaver
John Tetlow. 72. born 1769. Cheshire; a coal miner
James Tetlow. 9. born 1832, Cheshire
Elizabeth Tetlow. 5. born 1836, Cheshire
Charles Tetlow. 1, born 1840, Cheshire
Ann Harding. 20. born 1820 (not born in county); a school mistress (I think, a little hard to read)
Thomas Harding. 8 months, born 1840, Cheshire

There is a previous thread regarding this family
here
It is not a good idea to have more that one thread going on the same subject as members can end up spending their time looking for information that has already been provided elsewhere.
Thanks T@nya for summarising the information and any further information regarding the
Tetlow Mineral Water Factory - Hyde, Cheshire
should be tagged onto the other thread.
