CAPTAIN JOHN MYLES HENRY 1921-1944

I have been revisiting the data I hold on my various Hart/Solomon lines and updating it. As part of the research I have looked at the family of Henry Solomon 1813-1891 who married Sarah Adler 1831-1907. This line includes their children:
Jeanette 1851-1916;Sidney H 1855-1895; Florence 1858; Rebecca 1860; Franciska ( known as Frances) 1861;Jacob ( known as James) 1862-1946 Mortimer 1865-1929; Gertrude 1866; Arthur Henry 1868-1924; Amy Josefa 1872.
Arthur Henry Solomon married Peggy Lewis on Tuesday March 26 1918 at the Synagogue St Petersburgh Place Bayswater. Their son John Henry Myles ( known as Myles) was born June qtr Kensington 1a 176. John married Pamela Evelyn Morris daughter of Major and Mrs Alan Morris Dec 27 1943 in London- there were two marriages to reflect the different religious persuasions of the couple. The account of the bravery of John Myles Henry is documented in the Parachute Records of the Regiment and his background has been written by his widow Pamela in the autobiography " I've had my dance" published 1996 Erica Press NZ.
John's father Arthur changed his surname to Henry on 26 November 1924. He was a stockbroker in partnership with his brother James ( Jacob) and others.
I will fill in more data on the families including the connection to my Hart line.

As an addition to the earlier posting here is the relationship between my Hart line and the Solomon lines through marriage.
Henry Solomon 1813-1891 who married Sarah Adler 1831-1907 was the son of Jacob Solomon 1782-1852 and Srah Phillips 1799-1872. Sarah was the daughter of Nathan Marcus Adler 1803-1890 and Henrietta Worms 1800-1853 ( these are emminent Jewish families which include the Chief Rabbi).
Henry Josiah Solomon 1842-1921 was the son of Josiah Solomon 1811-1858 who married Bella Hart daughter of Henry Hart died pre 1841 census and Phoebe Myers ( my 4x great grandparents). Josiah Solomon was the brother of Henry 1813-1891. Henry Josiah Solomon married his first cousin Fransiska ( Frances) sister of Arthur Henry Solomon.
I am aware that there are living relatives of John Myles Henry and they are welcome to contact me regarding the early family history.
