    Question Help Please - Kemble

My husbands cousin has asked if I can find out about her Fathers family. Her Father was killed in 1944 on HMS Mourne. I am stuck on her Fathers Father.

Her father was John Reginald Kemble 4 Nov 1904 - 15 Jun 1944

His Father was Daniel Kemble b.1862 Coffinswell, Devon, d. 1919 Coffinswell, Devon.

The problem is I have found Daniel on 1871 census and on 1911 census but none in between.

    1871
    Daniel Kemble 1862 Coffinswell, Devon,
Father: John Kemble c1831 Tedburn St Mary, Devon
Mother: Sarah A Kemble c1831 Tedburn St Mary, Devon
    Other children
Charlotte Kemble c1857 Tedburn St Mary, Devon
William Kemble c1859 Bishops Teignton, Devon
    John Kemble c1866 Coffinswell, Devon
Jane Kemble c1869 St Mary Church, Devon

On 1881 census I have found his father with Jane and another child, Sarah is visiting her sister in Exeter and I have found Charlotte, William and John at different places as servents but there is no sign of Daniel. I cannot find him on 1891 or 1901 either.

I have found his marriage to Mary Elizabeth Clements in Mar Q 1904 at Torrington Devon and I have them on 1911 census living at Clay Lane Cottages Chudleigh Knighton Newton Abbot Devon.

Wondered if anyone could help with this

    One possibility to consider . . .

In 1881 there is an 18 year old Daniel Cambell, farm servant, at Home Farm, Coffinswell; his birthplace is shown as Daccombe (which is very near Coffinswell).
