Good evening all ,
i have a family watch issued to personnel in the RAF ww2 , i have the basics on the inscriptions ie.
AM air ministry
6B/159 pilot/navigator or ground crew
1886/43 watch number/ year
my question is , would this have been issued to a particular service men or to a base/airfield,?
if so ,who ,what and where ? .
my nephew has inherited from his wifes side of the family ,and they have no knowledge of its history .

Don't think ground crew would have been issued watches. There is a specialised web site for military watches, you could try Google for find it
