    Default CAMPBELL,DONALD ALEXANDER

HELLO I am enquiring about my great grandfather Donald Campbell. There is a family reunion organised which i was excited about only to find Donald's family details are missing from the tree. The purpose of my wanting to go was to gain this information
So can anyone tell me where i may find his family. Donald's details that i know are as follows:

    DONALD ALEXANDER CAMPBELL born 1887
Emigrated from Scotland to Australia 1910 or 1911
He married Caroline Alice in Australia
    Deceased 1st June 1964
Not much to go on i know.

If you know this man is your great grandfather you must know more about him that this.

Where and when did this couple marry?

Is Caroline Alice..a given name plus family name..or is this two given names?

Rather than follow the research that you have done already...have you seen the marriage certificate and death
    certificate for Donald?

There is a family tree on Ancestry which indicates this chap died in Mirboo Victoria. There is a death registration for a Donald Campbell in 1964 in Mirboo, Victoria, Age 77, Father's Name: Willia James, Mother's Name: Christina Millar, Registration Place: Victoria, Registration Number: 18353

In 1913 in Victoria a Donald Campbell married an Alice Caroline Smith registration number 4753. If you purchase the certificate which can be done online hopefully the parents names match that of the death.

I believe this to be them yes i was hoping to find Donald's family by finding where exactly in Scotland he emigrated from perhaps not the best avenue; however i am assuming the organisers of the reunion cannot gain the certificates.
Also i should phrase my queries better i apologise...perhaps i should wait to see what the reunion DOES turn up and talk to the oldies. I did not find the electoral roll so thankyou Procat. Thanks to all for the help.

Have you purchased the marriage certificate? It could should show the place of birth - though that may be as simple as Scotland. As you say there may well be more information at the reunion and depending on when it is you may be better off waiting rather than spending money on something that may not be necessary..
