    Post JESSOP family

My family seems to have all originated in Europe but a lot of them went to India either in the army, the British Railways or as in the case of my Great Grandfather John Jessop as a Tea Planter in the Hazaribagh region of West Bengal, India.

I am not having any luck tracing that branch of my family at all as my grandfather died when dad was only 4 years old and he did not have very much information about his fathers side of the family.

My Grandfather was John Boverty Jessop saying he was born on 01-01-1880, gives his father as John Jessop but mother unknown. He also had a sister named Mary Jessop saying she was born 01-01-1881 and again no mother was noted.

Any help on this branch of the family would be most appricated or places to look.

There were two separate threads on this JESSOP family, which have now been merged. It's best to keep all the information on the same people in one thread. Thanks.
