    Hi Noel

    If you're sure that the Charles born in Ringwood is the right one, then I think the next step is to send off for his birth certificate. That should give you a maiden name for his mother, and so (in theory at least!) help you find her marriage to the elusive Henry Stickley.

    it looks like your right and it would explain why i cound not find any details in the census points had a quick look it looks like the mothers name was Elizabeth Boiling but time will tell
