Caroline is stated to have been born in Ireland and is living with John Harris in Church St, Barton St Mary, Gloucester.
    Who did she marry?;
    ***************

Groom Surname Groom Forename Bride Surname Bride Forename District Parish Building Year Register Entry
TYLER Levi HART Anne Cirencester Edgeworth St Mary the Virgin 1845 1 7
    ***
TYLER Levi PHELPS Caroline Stroud Bisley All Saints 1838 C4/1 42

I believe her spouse was a Joshia or John Tyler, Levi Tyler is named as John or Ner in the censuses 1851 - 1881

    Have you considered this marriage?

    groom's name: Nes Tyler
    bride's name: Caroline Harris
    marriage date: 19 Oct 1840
marriage place: St. Mary-De-Lode'S Church, Gloucester
    groom's father's name: Amos Tyler
    bride's father's name: John Harris

NOTE: the groom's name is recorded as Nev TYLER on the Gloucestershire BMD.

As far as I can make out Levi Tyler married Caroline Phelps in 1838. They are in the 1841 census with 2 children Elizabeth and Emma, although there are a couple of other children on the Gloucestershire BMD, (Charles and John) where the mother's maiden name is Phelps. Caroline Tyler may have died in 1842, age 20. Thus Levi could have married again, Ann Hart in 1845. Levi, Ann and children are together in the later census.

Since Levi Tyler appears to be in the 1851 to 1881 census with Ann and Ner/Nev/Nes Tyler is in the 1851 to 1881 census with Caroline, they do not appear to be the same individual.

Gloucestershire FHS Marriage Index 1800-37, has a marriage for an Amos TYLER to a Betty GARDINER on 23 April 1816 at Bisley. The FHS Baptismal Index 1813-37 shows the following baptisms to Amos & Betty:

23 March 1817 at Bisley Levina TYLER daughter of Amos & Betty, Labourer, Ockeridge, aged 6 months
16 August 1818 at Bisley Lot TYLER son of Amos & Betty, Mason, Water Lane, aged 3 months
26 December 1819 at Bisley Ner TYLER son of Amos & Betty, Labourer, Water Lane, aged 2 months
26 October 1823 at Bisley Eli TYLER son of Amos & Betty, Stone Mason, Chalford

Quite a few TYLER families having children around the same time, some of whom were also living in Water Lane - perhaps family connections??

    Hello Janet
Thanks for the information, I had found some of the data for Levi <Ner>, but none for his siblings!
Levi m. Caroline Harris, who was sister to Maria Harris m. Alfred Kingscott, one of thier sons, also an Alfred went to Canada, which was the line I was checking out.

Much obliged to everyone for the help.
