Hi, Can anyone help me please with tracing the following relatives. I have just received four death reports from New Zealand, and have found that I have further relatives born between 1931 and 1937, and a marriage after 1930, but can't seem to access any records because of the date restriction! Can anyone help with suggestions of a web site that I could find this info please.
The marriage is of Gordon Arthur Lawson, born 1902, and married in Christchurst, no other details, sorry.
The one male birth is of the name Lawson, the child's parents were Walter Henry Hunt Lawson, and Fanny Lawson, nee Hamilton, born about 1932/3.
The two female births, surname Lawson, Father, Douglas Charles Lawson, Mother, Ida Violet Lawson, nee Patterson, born 1932 and 1937.
Hope this help. Any information will be gratefully received.
Regards,
Carol

Hi Carol,
if there are privacy restrictions I doubt you will be able to find any official sources for the information you are after. Have you tried searching the NZ newspaper archives at http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz

This is a very helpful NZ toolbar and if you want to check it out before installing see the link below. I use it without any problems.

I found a Gordon Arthur Lawson on the NZ Electoral Rolls 1928, '35, '38, '46, '49 '54 '63 '69''78
Prior to 1938 he is by himself. In 1938 he is living at te Railway Hotel Hokitika and at the same address is a Joyce Hazel Lawson married. His occupation is Civil Servant.
After that he is by himself and in 1946/49 he is a hairdresser
He is also on the Nominal Rolls for WW11 and his next of kin is given as Mrs Lawson! Looking at the original image it is extremely hard to read but having the info from the 1938 roll the second initial of his wife could be H.
No help with any children or possible death/remarriage of wife though

Did you find out if there was anything useful in the probate files mentioned in your earlier thread about the Lawsons?
You could try looking for cemetery records. See this page for a guide to which Christchurch cemetery records are held where, and a link to an online database covering some of these:
