    Loubylou - have you got the birth certificate for Female (unnamed) FRENCH, Marylebone RD March Q 1861? This could be her.

    Thank you both for your replies.Although it was only the birth reg I needed you've both come up trumps. I'm hopeful of the 1881 census for William, (where are the rest of them?) A previous thread looking for them in 1851 & 1881 came to nought so I'll check that out. The unnamed female is definitely worth a try. Thank you again

    I've just got a reply from Westminster reg office. They can't trace a record with William & Elizabeth as parents. The reply continues "As this is a very old record they may have problems tracing the record and would be best advised to apply to GRO" so that's the next step.
