I am trying to establish the most stated occupation of a James Kinton and by way of baptism and census I have a rough idea as to what this was. Can anyone help find the marriages please of 6 of his children born in Middlesex and then hopefully this record will give me an indication of James occupation in later years.
John b 1829
Maria b 1826
Martha b 1818
Sarah b 1820
Ann b 1820
Francis b 1832
Many thanks
Ewan

Hello Ewan,
At Martha's 1844 marriage to John Dobson/Dabson, James' occupation is gardener.
I'll see if I can find the others!

Edit: At Maria's 1850 wedding, James is a bricklayer - you were right!Last edited by josie7644; 20-10-2011 at 08:52 AM. Reason: more info

Hello again,
At the 1858 wedding of John James Kinton, his father James John is a brickmaker.
The marriages of the other children are not immediately obvious, when searching!

Hi Ewan.
Haven't come up with any likely marriages, nor have I found them on 1841 or 1851 census, but is this your Francis?
Francis Kinton d Dec1843 St Pancras 1 245.
Sorry, FredP.

Hello Fred thank you for you help.
At the moment I am not sure whether this could be the registration for the death of Francis Kinton, it means he would of died quite young and although St Pancras seems to be out of the family's area he could of been registered in another district quite easily. I will keep this information as he may connect later.
Thanks again.
Ewan
