    Default Comsbury Court

    In one of my ancestor's trials (Bristol Quarter Session) one of her accomplices is listed as coming from Comsbury Court. I've never heard of this and googling doesn't bring up anything. Does anyone know where this is/was?

    I wonder if it might be Congresbury, which Tait's Edinburgh Magazine of 1834 says was 'pronounced Coomsbury'.

    Could be. It's close enough to Bristol I think.
