Default Difficulty in finding info before 1800

Trying to locate info on Rebecca Payne a Romany who settled in Romford Essex in the 1800's. She had a romany caravan in her back garden which she lived in during the summer months. She was related to the Livermore family.

Hi mumbomum and welcome to Brit-Gen

I have moved your thread from Surname Interests to our Romanies Forum where it will hopefully attract attention of those members with a a knowledge of Romany ancestry.

In order that we can help you better can you please provide as much detail as you can such as year and place of birth and the names of any family members. The more information you give the better our members can assist you.

There are a few Rebecca christnings in Romford prior to the 1800's in 1717 as Pain father Daniel in 1746 as Pain father Daniel/mother Elizth in 1759 as Paine father Peter/mother Sarah also a marriage of Rebeck Payn to Samuel Foulham Colchester 1723 and on the 1841 census a Rebecca Payne at Navestock,Essex they may be some help but as I know myself it is hard to pin point Romany Folk in that era unless you have a little more info on her but never give up.
