    Default Thank you

Thank you to this wonderful forum,

I recently received a message from one of your members and we have discovered that she is my Dads first cousin. We have corresponded often over the past couple of weeks and this morning I received a parcel with photos and a disc in it. In amongst the photos was a beautiful one of my Great Grandma Emily Jane. The biggest surprise was a photo of my brother and sister as babies. All this from 12000 miles away !
Anyway, a reunion is planned for next August when I will be able to go through an old suitcase of my Grandmothers to see if there is anything else of interest to me.

    Anyway thanks again
    Cathy

Brilliant news Cathy - what a fantastic surprise for you!
Photos are lovely to have, aren't they?

Well done - dust off the old suitcase and hope you find some other treasures in there.

You must be over the moon, Cathy, and rightly so.

Photographs are a wonderful thing to have in themselves but the reunion has to be the icing on the cake. I hope it all goes brilliantly for you.

Oh how marvellous! there is nothing like that feeling when an unknown relative contacts you and if they have pictures! well!
I was contacted by relatives in Australia who asked casually if I would like copies of pictures of my great great grandparents so I am reliving that thrill with you right now!

That's fantastic Cathy. I hope you have a wonderful reunion. It's always a thrill to see photos of family that you've never seen before. I shall hopefully be doing that myself next year when I go over to Alaska to meet my great aunt - I can see hubby will be doing a lot of fishing on that holiday.

    Have a wonderful time

I just knew you would all understand. My lot just looked at me and raised their eyebrows.
