Default Anglican Cemetries in use 1939 - pres

    Hi All

I have two ancestors who lived in Tristram Avenue Hartlepool, John T and Lillian Atkins, Lillian died in 1939 and John in 1940. Both their death records just say West Hartlepool. Can anyone tell which churches in that time came under West Hartlepool and were in use for burials from 1939 onwards.

    Thanks

There is a standard answer - approach the cemeteries department of local authority. The appropriate Council web page is here -

    http://www.hartlepool.gov.uk/site/sc...documentID=207

where you'll find a list of cemeteries and crematoria and also advice on locating a grave.
