Hi my name is Barbara and I live in West Yorkshire, England. I have only been doing genealogy since April of this year, so still finding my feet so to speak. But love all the information and help that I have been getting from various people, although I have gone down a few wrong paths, but managed to overcome most of them.

I have Bacon's in my maternal line, all from North east Derbyshire, although, there is West Yorkshire lines with one of their wives.

Thank you for your welcome, sorry not to have been in touch before, you mentioned you have Bacon's in your materal line, could you give my any ideas about the Bacon's in the West Yorkshire lines, could be that we could be distant cousins. I have difficulty because my father (a Bacon) was orphaned at the age of 10 so didn't have very nuch to go on.

I am still finding difficulty finding my way around but I suppose I will get there eventually.
