    Default Deceased online

just come across this site which might be especially useful for anyone looking for Scottish deaths. Searching is free, and gives details of date and place of burial, but to view actual images you do need to buy credits.

They had a stand at WDYTYA, Nicolina, at which time it seemed to be still in its infancy but there have since been some good reviews about their progress in adding more and more records.

I imagine it is one of these projects that will be a continuous work in progress with data being constantly added.

it does seem as though only some counties are available, at the moment, but hopefully they'll soon add more (especially Yorkshire). Any help we can get is always welcome.

Yes this site is, or was very promising when it came out a couple of years ago ,but progress in digitising is so slow that by the time it really gets going it will probably be surpassed by another enterprise that has done it faster and better. The idea is great but seems to lack urgency.

They send me an email when they have added new records and they do seem to be moving at a pace now so hopefully yorkshire will be on there soon.
