Unable to find a birth but there is a marriage on Famaily earch for a David Edward to Ellin Jones 28 May -Llanfair Yng Nghornwy, Anglesey, Wales M09003-1
Sadly google doesn't understand that direction. Did take me to LLanfair Pwllgwyngyll.18 miles from Almwch.Happy Families

I can't help you directly, but have you seen amlwchdata.co.uk/ (put www in front) ? I remember a friend using it and finding it very useful.
