Register of Duties Paid for Apprentices' Indentures, 1710-1811
Is now online on Anc*y. Also covers Scotland & Wales despite being headed 'England'. Denbighshire has been transcribed as Derbyshire a number of times.
I don't have a subscription at mo but just found 11 of my lot in 10 minutes. If you have no sub try searching the index just under 'city' - smallish places show up some interesting results

You can also download the register books for free from TNA's Documents Online 'Digital Microfilm' collection. Search for records under IR1. Each register is contained in a single PDF file - be aware that they are quite large (200+ MB) so can take some time to download. And although they are identified as City (Town) and Country Registers, I found that at least some City registers include entries for the entire country (if you notice a gap in the years of coverage for Country registers, try the City register for the missing period). I haven't tried searching on Ancestry yet, but as the TNA documents are not indexed, it might be a good way to confirm if your ancestor is included in the apprentice lists.

A partial index and abstraction of IR1 has been available online for some time, now at FMP or free to members at the Society of Genealogists web site
[Apologies for the duplication, I failed to press refresh at the right time

If your family were Lincolnshire-based then Lincolnshire Family History Society have produced a CD with a transcription of all masters and apprentices identifiable as being from Lincolnshire, from the Inland Revenue Ledgers at TNA.
Covers the whole period 1719-1811 and sorted four ways: Masters by place and trade, Masters by surname and place, Apprentices by place, Apprentices by surname.
Available from Parish Chest.
